The worst feeling ever is walking up to your closet and just thinking there is absolutely nothing you can wear. This happens to most of us, and most people think its because they just have nothing to wear in general, but that is not true. The real reason lying behind this is because some of the purchases you have made recently were not smart purchases. This is where the 3-7-14 rule comes in!
Basically if you buy something and haven't worn it in three days, then there is a very low chance that you will end up wearing it. The idea is that i you weren't that excited to wear it within three days of buying it, you weren't that excited to wear it to begin with. If you haven't worn it in seven days, then that means that you are definitely not going to wear it, so you should return it asap! Lastly, if you haven't returned this item within fourteen days, it means that you are never going to return it, and you're stuck with this piece of clothing forever. At this point you may or may not want to just give it to a friend or family member, but we will leave that choice up to you.
A new piece of clothing you buy should make you excited every time you open up your closet! If it doesn't bring you excitement, it was not a good purchase! Next time you go shopping, don't forget to follow the golden 3-7-14 rule to make sure that your closet gets filled with useful pieces of clothing!
